"An unchallenged lie becomes an unquestioned truth." -lrw

There are three catagories of links on this page:

1. Links to some of my own more interesting and informative web articles. Are they indeed interestng and informative? Check them out for yourself.

2. Links to sites that I've found particularly enlightening. Will you find them enlightening too?

3. Links to articles on the world's Achilles heel.

As always, links in both these catagories are "connection oriented," that is, they are "nexialist" - - - they put things together in unexpected ways.

A Few of my Articles

Was Jane Right?: "Our" politicians always make sure we are the good guys in any war. Don't they? But some people sometimes challenge this assumption. For "Operation Iraqi Freedom," the current (2006 A.D.) war in Iraq, one of the main challengers is Cindy Sheehan. In the case of The Vietnam "War," it was actress Jane Fonda. Could they both be right?

BIG-FLOAT: The American Damocles: This article uncovers the soft, hidden underbelly of the American economy as revealed mostly by direct quotes from Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan.

Liberty Leasing; A Modest Proposal for Freedom in Our Time: If enough folks availed themselves of this service, we could indeed have "Freedom in Our Time." There IS a company that provides such a service! Ask me.

Please Protect Me --- From Myself!: I guess I'm more dangerous than you thought.

Anarchy 202: Think you know what "anarchy" is? Think it has never worked well? Check this out!

Rain, Kropotkin and Y2K -- Reel Human Nature: What are we REELY like? Why does the truth seem so strange?

Enlightening Sites?

Killology 101: also Killology Research Group: Lieutenant Colonel Dave Grossman homepage: I don't fully agree with Colonel Grossman's asessment, but the perspective and research on the anti-propensity of humans to kill other humans is somewhere north of amazing. -- To skip to the beef, use your browser's search function (usually the "Ctrl" key + the "F" key) to search the Killology 101 link for the phrase "Killing requires."

20th Century Democide: Speaking of humans killing other humans, how about a tally sheet. From the site:

Among all the democide estimates appearing on this website, ...some have been revised upward. ...Thus, the new world total: old total 1900-1999 = 174,000,000. New World total = 174,000,000 + 38,000,000 (new for China) + 50,000,000 (new for Colonies) = 262,000,000.
Just to give perspective on this incredible murder by government, if all these bodies were laid head to toe, with the average height being 5', then they would circle the earth ten times. Also, this democide murdered 6 times more people than died in combat in all the foreign and internal wars of the century. 908_clip1

Speaking of governments and killing, Would Killing Hitler Violate his Freedom of Speech by Victor Milan: Ever wonder what you could have done if you were in Germany during the Third Reich - - - or should do if you ever find yourself in any suddenly totalitarian state? One of my absolute favorite "get it in perspective" pieces.

And do we have to worry about our own government emulating Hitler and the Nazi's? Naw! Couldn't happen here. Not in America! Could it?

But suppose highly respected columnist Jack Anderson was worried about just such an eventuallity clear back in 1984? Well, he was when he wrote DRAFT LEGISLATION WOULD SUSPEND CONSTITUTION IN AN EMERGENCY Jack Anderson, 1984 United Feature Syndicate, Inc., weekly special, Lassen Advocate 10/1/84, Susanville CA.

Well, surely they got that mess straightened out by this time. Didn't they? Well, yes, from certain viewpoints - - -

"The U.S. Army director of resource management has confirmed the validity of a memorandum relating to the establishment of a civilian inmate labor program under development by the Department of Army. The document states, 'Enclosed for your review and comment is the draft Army regulation on civilian inmate labor utilization' and the procedure to 'establish civilian prison camps on installations.'" Hidden threats -- Part I, Geoff Metcalf, WorldNetDaily.com, May 11, 1998 908_clip2

Is this claim that at the direction of the U.S. Government, the U.S. Army is establishing "civilian prison camps on [Army] installations" credible? You'll have to decide for yourself.

And with all the "terrorism" going on, perhaps you would be intrigued by the follow-up article which includes the following:

"Government Violence Is 'Legitimate'? The deputy attorney general of California commented at a conference that anyone who attacks the state, even verbally, becomes a revolutionary and an enemy by definition. Louis Guiffreda, who was head of FEMA, stated that 'legitimate violence is integral to our form of government, for it is from this source that we can continue to purge our weaknesses.' It is significant to note that the dictionary definition of terrorism -- 'the calculated use of violence' -- corresponds precisely to the government's stated policy of 'the use of legitimate violence.' Hidden threats -- Part 2, Geoff Metcalf, WorldNetDaily.com, May 18, 1998 908_clip3

Is there really an elitist "New World Order?" Is this U.S./NWO planning to do away with U.S sovereignity by marginalizing the U.S. Constitution? Maybe, maybe not, -- but is it possible the 9-11 attacks are not quite what they seem? Could they be part of something else? Could this, even remotely, be the beginnings of the American Police State?

If you've read this far, you may be thinking, "This guy must be one of those 'conspiracy nuts'." Well, maybe. The Feds charge people with "conspiracy" all the time. Maybe they're "conspiracy nuts" too? Billionair financier George Soros - - - and the WASHINGTON POST have joined the conspiracy nut crowd too. See for yourself in Creative Uses for 9-11

How we burned in the prison camps later thinking: What would things have been like if every police operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? If during periods of mass arrests people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the stair, but had understood they had nothing to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? -the organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers- and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt. -Alexander Solzhenitsyn 908_clip4

So how did we get to this situation? Well, there is almost certainly a "money" connection. Brazil is a debtor nation. So is Russia. The biggest debtor the world has known is the U.S Government. So, who do all these nations, not to mention their citizens, owe all this money to?? Well, as it turns out, they are our Silent Partners.

There's a solution to all of this -- a return to "hard money." Yea. I know. I'm a nut again. But I'm not alone: As weird and unlikely as it seems, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan is a "gold bug too." {^^w Add references here!}

USAGOLD Discussion Forum: Was one of the best honest money related sites on the web, but the management purged many of it's best posters, apparently for some sort of misguided business reasons. Still a fairly good source of links to pertinent world event stories. Black Blade in particular is a tireless poster of such links. Many of the best posters, including Black Blade, now post at Eagle Ranch .

The World's Achilles Heel

As you probably know, "inflation" affects the value of your money ---

"There is perhaps no empirical regularity among economic phenomena that is based on so much evidence for so wide a range of circumstances as the connection between substantial changes in the quantity of money and in the level of prices." ... "It follows ... that inflation is always and everwhere a monetary phenomenon in the sense that it is and can be produced only by a more rapid increase in the quantity of money than in output." -quoted in Judy Shelton, Money Meltdown (New York: The Free Press 1994), p. 176 & 177 908_clip5

Check out How Much Is That? to see just how the buying power of your money has been affected over the years as a result of the issuance of "money" by the Federal Reserve System.

Increasing the supply of money also has international effects -- excess money creation eventually leads to a devaluation of a currency relative to other currencies. This shows up in the relative exchange rates among these currencies.

Particularly interesting in terms of such devaluing currencies are the graphs of these relative exchange rates during recent currency-crisis events as follows:

Mexican Peso Crisis (July 1994 - June 1996) 908_clip6
Asian Currency Crisis (April 1997 - Sept. 1998) 908_clip7
Russian Ruble Crisis (June 1998 - May 1999) 908_clip8
Brazilian Real Crisis (Dec. 1998 - Nov. 1999) 908_clip9

It also shows up in a comparison to the value of gold. You can graph the relative exchange rates of up to five currencies against almost any base currency yourself here . You can also use gold and/or silver ounces as currencies -- and SDR (Special Drawing Rights) for those of you who want to.

You might find it interesting to look at the Turkish lira and the South African Rand, both of which are in the midst of a currency devaluation crisis. Also instructive is the Ecuadorian "sucre," the value of which dropped to zero.

Currently (July 2002) the Brazilian currency, the real, is dropping rapidly -- again -- as is the Venezuelan Bolivar and the Chilean peso. Not to mention the U.S. dollar, down 10% in the last couple of months.
